Hybrid (2 to 3 days WFH a week); Full-time; Permanent

 

An exciting Program Manager opportunity has just arisen with a leading developer of advanced technologies for navigation, mission planning and autonomy systems for the Aerospace & Defense industries. Our client invents disruptive technologies, develops revolutionary solutions, and builds trusted products for our customers’ most challenging missions. They focus on the creation of AI/ML-enabled capabilities to command, control, communicate with, and manage composable collections of intelligent agents, smart sensors, and autonomous platforms across all domains.

 

As Program Manager for Autonomy Systems, you will manage programs and support the capture of new business opportunities focused on the development of advanced Autonomy and AI technology and the creation of first-of-a-kind capabilities for national defense customers. You will also be a principal interface to customers, subcontractors, and the company's leadership for the programs and proposals managed.

 

Requirements:

·       Currently a Program Manager or Systems Engineer

·       A strong technical background and a track record of successfully leading/coordinating teams to execute advanced technology development programs

·       5-10 years of project/program leadership experience in positions of increasing responsibility

·       A demonstrated understanding of program management processes and tools including MS Project

·       Working knowledge of FAR-based development contracts

·       A successful track record of proposal development/program capture

·       An understanding of strategies for proposal management, ensuring compliance, opportunity shaping, and offering differentiation

·       Hold US security clearance or ability to obtain it

 

Desired:

·       The candidate must have strong problem-solving skills, a demonstrated ability to innovate, and have excellent writing and presentation skills along with the ability to communicate complex ideas to technical experts and technically savvy non-experts

·       Experience working with the DoD agencies and DARPA offices, and a recent security clearance are highly desired

·       PMI certification and experience working in an Agile Software Development environment is a plus
