RF Integration Manager

We are looking for an RF Integration Manager to join our fast-paced, innovative Active Circuits Engineering team and lead the RF Integration group’s activity.

You will be responsible for leading a diverse RF System, Design and Performance Validation team to fully execute Radio system line up from Antenna to all the way up to Bits. The overarching responsibility of the group would be designing, simulating, implementing and then design validating of circuit and system that meets the System performance.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead the group of Active’s RF System, Design and Test Engineer to deliver the RF System and associated sub-system and be the responsible person for ensuring that they meet the performance required

• Work with and assist System’s team in correctly translating the high-level product/system requirements to sub-system specifications (SSS)

• As a team-lead/ group lead come up with the RF system Line-up that meets the required performance

• Drive cross functional team in executing the complex RF System and Sub-System delivery while owning the overall RF performance of the system

• Provide the cross functional team the needed information to execute the overall product delivery:

- Work with Hardware team in providing the layout guidance for the RF section and ensure that Cost, manufacturability, and RF performance are kept optimum

- Work with Software team in providing the relevant Software Control Requirements in advance for successful SW build ahead of the system delivery

• Write up and execute the RF Sub-system design validation plan and ensure that the component meets the desired performance

 

REQUIREMENTS

Execution Experience:

• Have led the team of RF System, design, and Validation engineer in delivering the right first time RF System product

• Have at-least 5 years of direct technical management experience

• Have indirectly led the cross functional team to collectively execute a complex system

• Have a proven industry track record of taking a radio system from concept to production

• Have a proven record in qualifying the radio sub-system as per regulatory requirements such as EMC and interference

• Is adapt at working with and driving cross functional team for the project execution

• Is adapt at quickly building Radio system prototype using a combination of Custom and COTS part either through EVB lash-ups or through PCB implementation

• Is adapt at defining the test and verification plan and then executing it

  

Technical Knowledge:

• High level understanding of the RF Design analysis and simulation of RF system performance

• Cascaded chain analysis for Gain, Noise Figure and Linearity

• Frequency planning – Mixer Spurious and Filtering requirement

• Well exposed to RF, Analog, and Digital design

• In-Depth understanding in RF system design and trade-offs involved

• In-depth understanding of RF and mmWave radio board design

• Good understanding of key parameter of RFIC such as LNA, mixer, PA, VCO, Beamformer

• General understanding of Antenna

• General understanding of Integer/Fractional N PLL/frequency synthesiser

• General understanding of the DC, Bias Control, Sequencing, and familiarity with PMIC

• Well familiar with Test Instruments and ability to own measurements

• PNA, Spec Analyzer, Oscilloscope, VSA

• Well versed in writing test and verification plan and correctly estimating the task duration

 

Desirable Skills:

• Follows first time right execution approach

• Phased array terminal design and system experience

• Must be able to document and present their work concisely

• Team player and willingness to work in a fast-paced environment to deliver the product on schedule
